Pakistan vs West Indies Test Series Set to Begin Tomorrow
Pakistan and West Indies are gearing up for an exciting two-match Test series, with the first Test set to take place at the Multan Cricket Stadium from January 17-21.
This series marks West Indies’ first Test tour of Pakistan in more than 18 years, with their last series in the country coming in 2006. The teams last met in a Test series in 2021, which ended in a tightly contested 1-1 draw.
Both sides are entering the series with plenty to prove. Shan Masood’s Pakistan will be looking to rebound after their recent Test series loss against South Africa. Currently seventh in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) standings, Pakistan will aim to capitalize on home conditions to regain momentum in the tournament.
Placed ninth on the WTC standings, Kraigg Brathwaite’s West Indies, meanwhile, arrive in Pakistan following a heated two-match Test series against Bangladesh, where they earned a 1-1 draw after a commanding victory in the first Test.
. With the second Test scheduled in Multan from January 25-29, fans can expect a hard-fought series.
