The PCB’s 2026-27 domestic cricket season gathers further momentum on Saturday when the five-team National Women’s T20 Tournament gets underway in Faisalabad.

On the opening day, Invincibles will face Challengers at the Bohranwali Ground, while Conquerors will take on defending champions Stars at the Jawad Club Ground. Both matches will begin at 10am PKT and will be live-streamed.

The National Women’s T20 will be the sixth competition to get underway, with the President’s Trophy Grade-I, President’s Trophy Grade-II Gold and Silver, Women’s U19 tri-nation T20 series and Pakistan-Sri Lanka T20I series already in progress across the country.

Tuba Hassan will captain defending champions Stars, Gull Feroza will lead Invincibles, Ayesha Zafar will skipper Challengers, Pakistan captain Fatima Sana will lead Strikers, while Muneeba Ali will captain Conquerors.

The 21-match tournament will follow a double round-robin format, with the final scheduled for 25 October. The competition carries prize money of more than PKR three million, with the winners receiving PKR 1.5 million and the runners-up PKR one million.

Of the 75 players selected for the tournament, six are currently representing Pakistan U19 Women in the tri-nation T20 series at the Iqbal Stadium. They will join their respective teams following the conclusion of that competition.
