Komal Khan’s 54 in Vain as Pakistan Women U19 Lose

Sri Lanka Women Under-19 defeated Pakistan Women Under-19 by nine wickets in the sixth match of the tri-nation T20 series at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad on Friday.

Opener Komal Khan struck 54 from 59 balls with seven fours, while Ravail Farhan contributed a run-a-ball 26 with four boundaries. However, Pakistan struggled to build on their opening partnership of 57 and were restricted to 110 for eight in 20 overs.

In reply, a commanding 108-run opening partnership between Sanjana Kavindi De Silva and Vimoksha Balasuriya steered Sri Lanka to a comfortable victory in just 15.2 overs.

De Silva remained unbeaten on 61 from 46 balls, striking eight fours and a six, while Balasuriya contributed 43 from 46 balls with four boundaries.

Pakistan will face Bangladesh on Sunday, followed by Sri Lanka’s meeting with Bangladesh on Monday. The final is scheduled for 16 October.
