Pakistan U19 Reach Tri-series Final In Harare

LAHORE: Pakistan’s Men’s U19 team qualified for the tri-series final after their fourth and final league match against hosts Zimbabwe Men’s U19 was declared a no-result at Old Hararians in Harare. Both sides progressed to Tuesday’s final, with Pakistan finishing top of the table with three wins, and Zimbabwe placing ahead of Afghanistan with one win.

Electing to bat first, Pakistan were bowled out for 208 in 46.3 overs, with Sameer Minhas once again topping the batting charts with a 58-ball 48, including seven fours. Usman Khan scored 41, Ahmed Hussain made 37, and Huzaifa Ahsan contributed 34.

For Zimbabwe, Panashe Mazai was the pick of the bowlers, taking four for 32, while Leeroy Chiwaula (two for 25) and Shelton Mazvitorera (two for 29) were also among the wickets.

Following Pakistan’s innings, persistent light showers prevented Zimbabwe from commencing their run-chase, and the umpires eventually called off the match.
