LAHORE: Pakistan Television took just 21 deliveries on the fourth and final morning to record a 78-run victory over State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) in a first-round President’s Trophy match at the State Bank Stadium on Wednesday.

Resuming at 148 for eight, SBP were dismissed for 161 after being set a 240-run target. Earlier, PTV had conceded a 54-run lead to SBP before storming back to record a come-from-behind victory.

Musa Khan added one more wicket to finish with figures of 9.4-1-51-6, while Israr Hussain took the other wicket to fall. SBP’s Rameez Aziz, who started the day at 31, was the last batter dismissed after scoring 37.

On Tuesday, SNGPL beat Sahir Associates by an innings and 151 runs, WAPDA beat KRL by six wickets, and Ghani Glass beat OGDCL by seven wickets.

In second-round action starting Saturday, OGDCL will meet PTV at the UBL Sports Complex, Ghani Glass will take on SBP at the NBP Sports Complex, SNGPL will face off against WAPDA at the State Bank Ground, and KRL will go head-to-head with Sahir Associates at the National Bank Stadium.
