Momina Riasat produced extraordinary bowling figures of four wickets for just one run as Stars successfully defended a modest total against Invincibles in the seventh match of the National Women’s T20 Tournament at the Bohranwali Ground in Faisalabad on Wednesday.

Momina returned remarkable figures of 3-2-1-4 as Invincibles were bundled out for just 62 in 14 overs while chasing a target of 111, handing Stars a comprehensive 48-run victory.

Diana Baig supported Momina with two wickets for 15 runs, while Samiya Afsar (18), Syeda Aroob Shah (16) and Tayyaba Imdad (16) were the only Invincibles batters to reach double figures.

Earlier, Stars posted 110 for nine in their allotted 20 overs, with Samina Aftab top-scoring with 38 from 47 deliveries, including three fours and a six. Sadaf Shamas contributed 28, while Manahil Rafiq scored 26.

For Invincibles, Anosha Nasir returned impressive figures of 4-0-14-4, while Tasmia Rubab claimed three wickets for 19 runs.

Momina was adjudged player of the match for her outstanding bowling performance.

In the other match at the Jawad Cricket Club Ground, Strikers defeated Conquerors by 57 runs, with Pakistan captain Fatima Sana and Syeda Masooma Zahra producing match-winning performances.

Fatima struck an unbeaten 73 from 48 deliveries, including nine fours and three sixes, while Huraina Sajjad scored 30 and Najiha Alvi contributed 26 as Strikers posted 160 for eight in 20 overs. Omaima Sohail chipped in with 16, while Humna Bilal was the pick of Conquerors’ bowlers with three for 19. Noreen Yaqoob claimed two for 30.

In reply, Conquerors were dismissed for 103 in 19.5 overs as Syeda Masooma Zahra returned impressive figures of 3.5-0-18-4. Noreen Yaqoob top-scored with 25, while Humna Bilal contributed 17, Aleesa Mukhtiar 13 and captain Muneeba Ali 11.

Fatima was named player of the match for her unbeaten half-century.
