Usman Khalid and Shahnawaz Dahani captured five-wicket hauls, while Hasnain Nadeem scored a century on the second day of the fifth-round President’s Trophy Grade-I matches on Wednesday.

Khalid Usman returned impressive figures of 15.4-6-23-6 as OGDCL were dismissed for 193 in 53.4 overs by MIT Solutions, who had earlier resumed at 186 for eight and were bowled out for 223 at the Shoaib Akhtar Cricket Stadium.

Khalid received good support from Mohammad Ismail, who picked up three for 81.

Rohail Nazir (52), Ali Zaryab (47) and Mohammad Sarwar Afridi (43 not out) were OGDCL’s main run-scorers.

Earlier, MIT Solutions added 37 runs to their overnight score of 186 for eight before being dismissed for 223. Opener Hasnain Nadeem, who resumed on 87, went on to score 121. His 192-ball innings included 18 fours and a six.

Shahnawaz Dahani registered figures of 16-2-61-5 and Shehzad Gul took four for 48 as Kingsmen Academy were dismissed for 217 in 50.5 overs after resuming at 31 for one at the Diamond Cricket Ground.

Mohammad Shayan top-scored with 66, while Mohammad Ilyas contributed 36.

At stumps, SNGPL had reached 140 for two, with Azan Awais unbeaten on 53 from 108 balls with six fours and Shan Masood 45 not out from 72 balls with five fours. The pair had added an unbroken 81 for the third wicket.

At the Abbottabad Cricket Stadium, Haris Rauf took four for 45 to help PTV dismiss Ghani Glass for 102 after they had resumed at 67 for seven.

PTV then strengthened their grip on the match by reaching 324 for four. Taimur Khan fell three runs short of a century, scoring 97 from 110 balls with eight fours and five sixes.

Mohammad Ammar was unbeaten on 80 from 166 balls with 10 fours and a six, while opener Yasir Khan struck 71 from 58 balls with five fours and six sixes.

At the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium in Peshawar, KRL reached 127 for eight after only 46 overs were possible against State Bank of Pakistan following the opening day’s washout.

Test fast bowler Mohammad Abbas took three for nine and Shahid Aziz three for 31, with Saqib Khan (35) and Rana Hamza Waheed (27) offering the main resistance for KRL.
