Bangladesh U19 Women Beat Pakistan Again

Bangladesh U19 Women defeated Pakistan U19 Women by 13 runs in the fifth match of the tri-nation T20 series at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad on Tuesday.

Batting first, Bangladesh posted 139 for five with Sadia Akter scoring an unbeaten 33 and Farjana Easmim Medha contributing 28 not out. For Pakistan, Rozina Akram and Maham Nazakat took two wickets apiece.

In reply, Pakistan finished at 126 for seven despite useful contributions from Komal Khan, Ravail Farhan and Zoofishan Ayyaz.

Komal top-scored with 36, while Ravail and Zoofishan scored 32 apiece. Farjana Easmim Medha completed a fine all-round performance by taking three for 25, while Nishita Akter claimed two for 28.

This was Bangladesh’s second successive victory over Pakistan in the series, following their 30-run win in the opening match.

Bangladesh will face Sri Lanka on Thursday, when they will have an opportunity to avenge Monday’s four-wicket defeat.
