Mohammad Suleman and Salman Ali Agha struck their second centuries of the President’s Trophy, Test opener Azan Awais registered his maiden century of this competition and Test fast bowler Khurram Shahzad claimed six wickets on the opening day of fourth-round action at various grounds on Wednesday.

Suleman was unbeaten on 122 and Salman, who struck an unbeaten triple-century in the opening round, was 106 not out as Kingsmen Academy amassed 430 for three in 90 overs against Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) at the National Ground.

Suleman and Salman have added an unbroken 181 runs for the fourth wicket. Suleman has faced 199 balls and struck six fours and two sixes, while Salman has hit 10 fours and two sixes in his 140-ball innings.

Earlier, Mohammad Tayyab Arif missed a century by two runs when he fell to T20I specialist Usman Tariq. Tayyab faced 112 balls and struck 14 fours and a six. He added 74 for the first wicket with Mohammad Huraira and 80 for the second with Suleman.

Saud Shakeel was also among the runs, scoring 62 from 81 balls with six fours and a six. He added 95 for the third wicket with Suleman.

At the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium, Test opener Azan Awais was unbeaten on 130 as Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) reached 277 for three against Pakistan Television (PTV).

Azan has faced 249 balls and struck 15 fours. He added 79 runs for the first wicket with Sameer Minhas (34) and has so far put on an unbroken 179 for the fourth wicket with Omair Bin Yousuf, who was unbeaten on 82 from 147 balls with 11 fours.

The pair came together with SNGPL in some trouble at 98 for three after Abdullah Shafique (9) and Shan Masood (0) had followed Sameer back to the pavilion in the space of 19 runs.

At the Diamond Cricket Ground, OGDCL, after electing to bat first, were dismissed for 196. In reply, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) had reached 94 for three, with Hasan Raza unbeaten on 52 and Ghazi Ghori on 30. The pair have added an unbroken 52 for the fourth wicket.

Saad Khan was OGDCL’s top-scorer with 38, while Niaz Khan (28), Hammad Khan (26), Umar Siddiq (24) and Babar Azam (21) were the other notable contributors.

For SBP, fast bowler Shahid Aziz was the pick of the bowlers with four for 31, while Mubasir Khan took three for 24 and Sirajuddin claimed two for 34.

At the Abbottabad Cricket Ground, Test fast bowler Khurram Shahzad returned impressive figures of 7.1-1-38-6 and Shadab Khan claimed three for 27 as Ghani Glass dismissed MIT Solutions for 150 after they had elected to bat first.

After Mohammad Farooq (47) and Waheed Zahid Bajwa (25) put on 71 for the opening wicket, MIT Solutions suffered a dramatic collapse, losing all 10 wickets for just 79 runs.

Ghani Glass then took control by reaching 191 for four at stumps, already leading by 41 runs. Mohsin Riaz was unbeaten on 69 and Ali Razzaq on 23. Hussain Talat contributed 47 and Mirza Tahir Baig 25, while Mohammad Ismail claimed three for 62.
