LAHORE: Scotland Women defeated Pakistan Women by 41 runs via the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method in the second and final warm-up match of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 in Derby on Tuesday.

Batting first, Scotland posted 191 for five. Pakistan, in reply, were 62 for five when rain prevented any further play after nine overs, with the DLS method handing Scotland a 41-run victory.

Scotland’s innings revolved around captain Kathryn Bryce’s extraordinary 94 off 43 balls, which included 11 fours and three sixes. Opener Darcey Carter scored 45 from 36 balls with seven fours, and the pair added 54 runs for the second wicket after Carter and Katherine Fraser (19) had shared a 41-run opening stand.

Bryce, who was dropped by Nashra Sundhu off her own bowling when six, then dominated a 80-run fifth-wicket partnership with Priyanaz Chatterji (18 not out) as Scotland plundered 76 runs in the last five overs.

Sadia Iqbal, Tasmia Rubab and Ayesha Zafar each took one wicket for Pakistan.

In reply, Pakistan lost five wickets in nine overs before rain intervened. Muneeba Ali top-scored with 20 off 22 balls, while Iram Javed struck 14 off nine balls with two fours. When play was called off, captain Fatima Sana was unbeaten on 12 off seven balls with two fours, with Aliya Riaz on one not out. Rachel Slater was Scotland’s most successful bowler with two wickets for 11 runs.

Pakistan face India in their ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 opening match at Edgbaston, Birmingham on 14 June.
