LAHORE: Pakistan Women’s match against the West Indies Women in the tri-nation T20I series in Dublin was declared a no-result due to bad weather on Wednesday.

Put into bat, Pakistan were 111 for seven in 16.5 overs when the match was called off. The result means the West Indies finish their four matches with two wins, one loss and one no-result, while Ireland have two wins and one defeat from three matches. Pakistan have lost two and have one no-result from three.

Thursday’s final league match between Pakistan and Ireland will decide the series winner. If Ireland beat Pakistan, they will finish ahead of the West Indies and claim the tri-nation title. If Pakistan win or the match is a no-result, the West Indies will take the series — which has served as final preparation for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, beginning in England on 12 June.

Pakistan were struggling when the match was abandoned on Wednesday. After slipping to 45 for four in the seventh over, they recovered to 82 for four through a 37-run fifth-wicket partnership between Rameen Shamim (17) and Aliya Riaz (22), before losing three wickets for seven runs to plunge to 89 for seven in the 14th over. They had limped to 111 for seven in 16.5 overs when rain ended play for good.

At the time of the abandonment, captain Fatima Sana was batting on 22 off 22 balls with one four, with Tuba Hassan unbeaten on seven.
