LAHORE: Bangladesh Women set up a final date with India Women when they defeated Pakistan Women by 54 runs in the second semi-final of the Asia Cup Rising Stars event in Thailand on Friday.

Batting first, Bangladesh managed 110 for eight in 20 overs, with captain Fatima Khatun scoring a 32-ball 40 not out, including five fours. For Pakistan, Hafsa Khalid took two for 25, while Waheeda Akhtar, Momina Riasat, Anosha Nasir, and Omaima Sohail took one wicket each.

In turn, Pakistan were skittled out for 56 in 16.4 overs, with only Shawaal Zulfiqar (14), Hafsa Khalid (12), and Yusra Amir (11) reaching double figures. For Bangladesh, Sanjida Akter Meghla took three for six and Fatima Khatun bagged two for six.

In the first semi-final, India Women defeated Sri Lanka Women by five wickets after Radha Yadav produced an all-round performance, taking four for 19 and then scoring an 18-ball 31 not out with seven fours. Vrinda Dinesh (42, 20b, 8×4) was the other standout performer for India.
