Four half-centuries and a three-wicket haul by Ahmed Hussain helped Pakistan Under-19 rout England Under-19 by 200 runs in the fourth 50-over match to clinch the four-match series 3-1 on Wednesday.

Captain Farhan Yousaf top-scored with an unbeaten 80 (54b, 8×4, 3×6), opener Usman Khan scored 79 (93b, 9×4, 1×6), Jahangir Bilal contributed 79 (81b, 13×4), and Ahmed Hussain added 63 (53b, 8×4, 1×6) as Pakistan posted 350 for four in their 50 overs after electing to bat first.

Hussain then backed up his half-century with figures of 3 for 16 from 2.4 overs, while Jahangir Bilal claimed two for two. They were well supported by Niqab Shafiq (two for 35) and Mohammad Sayyam (two for 40) as England were bowled out for 150 in 20 overs.

Pakistan’s innings was highlighted by two century stands. Usman and Jahangir put on 148 runs for the opening wicket, while Farhan and Ahmed Hussain shared a 144-run fourth-wicket partnership, lifting the tourists from 197 for three in the 33rd over to 341 for four in the 50th over.

The tour proved to be an extremely successful one for the Pakistan teenagers. After losing a closely contested four-day match by just 10 runs, they bounced back to win the opening two 50-over matches by 177 runs and 122 runs before the hosts claimed the third game by two runs. In all four matches, Pakistan posted totals of 300 or more, reflecting their depth and strength in the batting department.
