LAHORE: Pakistan and New Zealand shared points after their ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 Super Eight Stage match was a no-result due to incessant rain in Colombo on Saturday.

Pakistan had won the toss and made one change to the side that defeated Namibia – bringing in Fakhar Zaman in place of Khawaja Nafay. However, the toss proved to be the final action in this opening Super Eight match before the rain took over, forcing an abandonment without a ball being bowled.

Pakistan will now travel to Pallekele for their remaining two matches, which will be against England (24 Feb) and Sri Lanka (28 Feb).
