Pakistan Clinch ODI Series with Decisive 99-Run Victory Over Zimbabwe
Pakistan sealed a commanding 99-run win against Zimbabwe in the third and final ODI at Queens Sports Club, claiming the series 2-1.
Winning the toss and electing to bat, Pakistan posted a total of 304 runs. Kamran Ghulam emerged as the lead scorer, scoring his maiden ODI century. Openers Saim Ayub and Abdullah Shafique fell early to Faraz Akram and Sikandar Raza, respectively. Tayyab Tahir added firepower with a cameo of 29 runs off just 16 balls.
Chasing 304, Zimbabwe needed a solid start, but their innings unraveled quickly as the openers Tadiwanashe Marumani and Joylord Gumbie were removed early.
Haris Rauf, Abrar Ahmed, and Aamir Jamal delivered impactful spells, each picking up two wickets and Faisal Akram and centurion Kamran Ghulam chipped in with a wicket apiece.
Zimbabwe was bowled out for 204, falling 99 runs short of the target.
The win not only secured the match but also the series for Pakistan, who bounced back strongly after losing the first ODI. Kamran Ghulam was named Player of the Match for his brilliant century.
