Day four of the second Test between Pakistan and England saw Pakistan claim a win, securing their first home Test victory since 2021.

England, starting the day with 261 runs to chase and eight wickets in hand, quickly found themselves in trouble Sajid Khan struck in the first over, dismissing Ollie Pope for 22 with a sharp caught-and-bowled effort.

The spin duo of Sajid Khan and Noman Ali wreaked havoc throughout the second test. Noman Ali took charge by removing Joe Root (18) and Harry Brook (16), breaking the back of England’s middle order. Ben Stokes put up resistance with a composed 37, trying to stabilize the innings, but he too fell to Noman, leaving England vulnerable.

Noman Ali was unstoppable, wrapping up England’s tail by dismissing Jamie Smith, Brydon Carse, Jack Leach, and Shoaib Bashir, finishing with an impressive eight wickets in the second innings. The spin tandem of Noman and Sajid combined to take all 20 of England’s wickets in the match.

Pakistan bowled out England for 144, securing a long-awaited home test victory.
