LAHORE: Openers Muneeba Ali and Gull Feroza put on an unbroken 151-run opening stand as the Invincibles routed Conquerors by 10 wickets to set up a final against the Stars in the National Women’s T20 Tournament.

Muneeba returned unbeaten on 72 off 49 balls with 11 fours, while Gull Feroza slapped 14 fours in a 43-ball 76 not out as the Invincibles raced to the 151-run target in 15.1 overs.

The Conquerors, who needed to beat the Invincibles to reach Sunday’s final ahead of the Stars, posted 150 for seven with wicketkeeper-batter Yusra Amin top-scoring with 64 not out off 44 balls with six fours and a six. Opener Samiya Asfar scored a 19-ball 35 and Hafsa Khalid scored 20 off 15 balls.

For the Invincibles, Mahnoor Zaib took three for 17, while Noreen Yaqoob took two for 19.

In the other match, Strikers defeated Challengers by eight wickets at the Bagh-e-Jinnah. Nashra Sandhu took three for 17, while Tasmia Rubab, Zaib-un-Nisa Niaz and Rabia Rani took two wickets each as the Challengers were dismissed for 93 in 18 overs.

In reply, Strikers reached 97 for two in 9.5 overs with Saira Jabeen scoring 36 not out and Sadaf Shams 34.

At the conclusion of the double-league stage, the Invincibles topped the table with seven wins from eight matches, while the Stars won four, lost two and had two no-results. Conquerors finished third with eight points, followed by Strikers on seven and Challengers on one.

Saturday’s third-fourth position play-off at the LCCA Ground will see Conquerors take on Strikers, before Sunday’s final — also at the LCCA Ground — between the Invincibles and the Stars.
