KARACHI: Openers Sadaf Shamas and Gull Feroza stroked maiden centuries and also stitched a 189-run partnership as Pakistan Women defeated Zimbabwe Women by a record 206 runs margin in the second ODI of the ICC Women’s Championship 2025-2029 series at the National Bank Stadium on Wednesday.

Sadaf, who was dismissed for 98 in the opening match on Monday, was out after scoring 101, while Gull Feroza scored 100 as Pakistan posted 343 for four, their second highest ODI total to date. In turn, Zimbabwe were dismissed for 137 in 39 overs, handing Pakistan their biggest victory in terms of runs. Their previous largest victory was by 193 runs against the Netherlands in November 2011.

Sadaf faced 112 balls and struck 10 fours and a six, while Gull Feroza’s 95-ball innings included 13 fours. After Gull Feroza departed at the total of 189, Pakistan’s second best partnership for any wicket, and Sadaf followed at the total of 237 in 39.4 overs, Sidra Amin carried the innings forward and remained not out on 59 from 58 balls with six fours.

Aliya Riaz and Fatima Sana made quickfire 27 and 25, respectively, to help Pakistan post 343 for four.

Zimbabwe were never in contention and eventually finished at 137all-out in 39 overs. Runyararo Pasipanodya top-scored with 33 not out, while Kelis Ndhlovu scored 32 and Beloved Biza 29.

For Pakistan, captain Fatima Sana took three for 15, Syed Aroob Shah two for 18, Rameen Shamin two for 20 and Momina Riasat two for 39.
