JDW will begin their President’s Trophy Grade-II Gold campaign on Saturday, aiming to go one better than last season when they were knocked out in the semi-finals by Sahir Associates on first-innings lead.

JDW have been placed in Pool B alongside Kingsmen, Eshaal Associates, Haider Cricket Club and National Bank of Pakistan (NBP). The matches will be played at Karachi’s UBL Sports Complex and SBP Sports Complex, with matches at the latter venue to be live-streamed.

Pool A comprises Vital Tea, Port Qasim, PHA Rawalpindi, Railways and Income Tax, with matches to be played at the National Cricket Ground in Islamabad and Railway Stadium in Haripur. Matches at the National Cricket Ground will be live-streamed.

The top two sides from each group will progress to the semi-finals, which will be played from October 10-13, with the winners advancing to the four-day final beginning on October 16. The tournament winner will qualify for next season’s President’s Trophy Grade-I, while the bottom two teams in the Gold competition will be relegated to the Silver tournament.

JDW will play their four league matches in consecutive rounds before sitting out the fifth and final round, when their qualification fate could be decided.

JDW will open their campaign against Haider Cricket Club at the SBP Sports Complex from September 19 before facing Kingsmen at the same venue from September 23.

Their third-round match will be against National Bank at the UBL Sports Complex from September 27, before they complete their league campaign against Eshaal Associates on October 1.
