Eshaal Associates defeated JDW by four wickets to eliminate last season’s semi-finalists from the President’s Trophy Grade-II Gold at the UBL Sports Complex in Karachi on Saturday.

Eshaal Associates, who had secured a 27-run first-innings lead, successfully chased a 152-run target in 37.5 overs for the loss of six wickets, with opener Usman Khan leading the way with 86 from 124 balls. His innings included 14 fours and a six.

For JDW, Mehboob Ahmed bowled well and returned figures of four for 55.

Earlier, JDW resumed their second innings at 122 for five and were bowled out for 178 in 48.2 overs. Usman Salahuddin scored 39 and Mohammad Zulkifal contributed 24.

For Eshaal Associates, Zahid Bashir finished with four for 58, while Mohammad Umair took three for 26 and Mohammad Huzaifa claimed two for 37.

The defeat ended JDW’s campaign with one victory, one draw and two defeats from their four matches.
