JDW conceded a 98-run first-innings lead to Kingsmen Academy after losing their last eight wickets for 67 runs on the second day of their three-day President’s Trophy Grade-II Gold match at the SBP Sports Complex in Karachi on Thursday.

Replying to Kingsmen Academy’s 270, JDW resumed at 34 for one and progressed to 105 for two before collapsing to 172 all out. Kingsmen Academy then strengthened their grip on the match by reaching 213 for three at stumps, stretching their overall lead to 311 runs with seven wickets intact.

Zain Abbas top-scored for JDW with 61 from 93 balls, including six fours, while Usman Salahuddin made 57 from 106 deliveries with three fours and two sixes.

For Kingsmen Academy, Junaid Ahmed claimed four wickets for 18 runs, while Ahmad Hussain and Afnan Khan picked up two wickets apiece.

Kingsmen Academy’s second innings was built around an unbroken 91-run fourth-wicket partnership between Najab Khan (51 not out) and Rizwan Mehmood (50 not out). Affan Ishaq (40), Kashif Ali (36) and Usman Ghani (33) were the other main contributors.
