JDW posted 275 before reducing Haider Cricket Club to 39 for three on the opening day of their three-day President’s Trophy Grade-II Gold match at the State Bank of Pakistan Sports Complex in Karachi on Saturday.

Put into bat, JDW were bowled out in 69 overs, with opener Zain Abbas top-scoring with 74. His 99-ball innings included five fours and three sixes.

Uzair Mumtaz scored 44 from 87 balls with six fours, while Hanain Majid contributed 43 with two fours and two sixes. Usman Qadir and Humayun Altaf chipped in with 24 apiece.
For Haider Cricket Club, left-arm spinner Imran Khan returned figures of five for 65, while Ali Roman claimed three for 49.

JDW then strengthened their position by reducing Haider Cricket Club to 39 for three in 16 overs before stumps.

Opener Faizan Niaz (12) and Jawad Ahmed (0) will resume Haider Cricket Club’s first innings on Sunday, still trailing JDW by 236 runs.
