LAHORE: Kingsmen Academy defeated JDW by eight wickets in a three-day President’s Trophy Grade-II match in Abbottabad with a day to spare on Saturday.

JDW scored 116 and 190, while Kingsmen Academy replied with 196 and 114 for two. This was JDW’s fourth match in the competition. They will next face PHA Rawalpindi in Peshawar and Railways in Islamabad in the fifth and sixth rounds, respectively.

Sahibzada Abdullah was JDW’s standout batter, scoring 25 and 62 in a low-scoring match. With the ball, Mohammad Sadaqat returned figures of 13.3-2-47-4, while Majid Ali and Hassan Hafeez took three and two wickets respectively in the first innings.

For Kingsmen Academy, middle-order batter Najab Khan scored 56 and 38 not out, while Mohammad Tayyab contributed 52 not out in the second innings.

Hamid Ali was the pick of JDW bowlers, finishing with nine wickets for 85 runs across both innings. Faizan Ghani also impressed, taking five for 38 in the first innings and two for 50 in the second.
