ICC Reveals ‘Champions Trophy 2025’ Visual Identity with Pakistan as the Tournament Host
ICC has unveiled a fresh visual identity for the much-anticipated 2025 Champions Trophy, which is set to be held in Pakistan as per the schedule.
The 2025 Champions Trophy will be a landmark event, marking its return after an eight-year hiatus. The men’s tournament, set to take place over two weeks, will feature top eight ranked ODI teams. The competition will also see the debut of the women’s Champions Trophy, played in the exciting T20 format.
As per the proposed schedule, the tournament’s group stages will feature some highly anticipated matchups. Pakistan, as hosts as well as the defending champions, have been placed in Group A alongside India, Bangladesh, and New Zealand. Meanwhile, Group B will consist of England, South Africa, Australia, and Afghanistan.
The ongoing diplomatic crisis between Pakistan and India has cast a shadow over the event. India’s reluctance to visit Pakistan has led to calls for a hybrid model, where some matches could be held in neutral venues. Pakistan, however, has remained firm in its stance, insisting that the entire tournament will take place on its soil.
The ICC’s unveiling of the Champions Trophy 2025’s visual identity signifies a significant milestone for the tournament, but the question of where and how the matches will unfold remains a pivotal issue.
