Grants Bradburn resigns as Pakistan’s head coach

Veteran New Zealand batsman Grant Bradburn declared on Monday his decision to resign from his position as the high-performance coach of the national team.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) initially appointed Bradburn as the head coach of the national men’s side for the next two years in May last year.

Bradburn assumed the role previously held by Saqlain Mushtaq and managed Test series against New Zealand and Sri Lanka, along with overseeing the 50-over World Cup in India.

However, the cricket body in November 2023 changed the portfolio of the entire coaching staff including head coach Bradburn.

Making the announcement through X, Bradburn shared, “Time to close the amazing chapter that has been Pakistan cricket. Three roles over five years, I am proud of what’s been achieved and grateful to have worked with so many outstanding players, coaches, and staff.”
