Azan Awais and Babar Azam hit centuries on the second day of the four-day non-first-class practice match against West Indies Select at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba on Sunday.

Both batters retired after reaching 100 as Pakistan finished the day at 455 for four. Azan had resumed on Sunday on 78, while Babar was 14 not out. Mohammad Rizwan was the not out batter on 44 when play ended on Sunday soon after Aamir Jamal was out after scoring 22.

Azan faced 241 balls and hit nine fours and one six, while Babar’s 151-ball innings comprised 12 fours and a six.

Abdullah Fazal scored 50 off 97 balls with six fours before retiring, while Salman Ali Agha was dismissed after scoring 44 off 103 balls with one six.

The first Test will start at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba on 25 July.
