Fast bowler Mohammad Ali took a five-wicket haul in the four-day non-first-class warm-up match against West Indies Select, which ended in a draw at the Brian Lara Academy in Tarouba on Tuesday.

The home side, resuming their first innings at 268 for eight in reply to the visitors’ 455 for four declared, were dismissed for 279. Mohammad Ali picked up the last two wickets to complete impressive figures of 15.5-3-37-5.

In their second innings, Pakistan were 219 for four in 60.1 overs when the match was called off. Awais Zafar top-scored with 64 (retired) from a 95-ball innings studded with four fours and four sixes.

Abdullah Fazal followed up his 50 (retired) with a run-a-ball 48 (retired), while Ali Usman scored 41. Ghazi Ghori (17 not out) and Khurram Shahzad (0 not out) were at the crease when the match ended. Opener Imam-ul-Haq and Salman Ali Agha scored 14 runs apiece, while Aamir Jamal scored eight.

The first Test will be played at the same venue from Saturday.
