LAHORE: Pakistan Women u19 took a 1-0 lead in the five-match T20I series against Bangladesh Women U19 when they successfully defended 88 runs to win by 13 runs in Cox’s Bazar on Wednesday.

Batting first, Pakistan were dismissed for 88 in 19.4 overs, with Eman Naseer top-scoring with 30 and Areesha Ansari contributing 22. The pair added 34 runs for the fourth wicket, but once their partnership ended at 65, the remaining batters could add only 23 more runs.

Bangladesh’s Jarin Tasnem Labonno ran through Pakistan’s middle order, finishing with figures of 4 for 14, while Habiba Islam Pinky claimed 2 for 22.

In reply, Pakistan’s Shehr Bano took 3 for 27, while Rozina Akram and Memoona Khalid picked up two wickets each, as Bangladesh collapsed from 44 for 3 to 75 all out in 19.5 overs.
