RAWALPINDI: Sri Lanka lost eight wickets for 16 runs as Pakistan won the three-nation T20I series by six wickets at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Saturday.

Sri Lanka were on course for a competitive total at 98 for two in 13 overs, but a stunning collapse saw them bundled out for 114 with five balls remaining in their innings. Pakistan later chased down the 115-run target with six wickets and eight balls to spare.

Captain Babar Azam finished unbeaten on 37, while Saim Ayub hit 36, Sahibzada Farhan 23, Salman Ali Agha 14, and Fakhar Zaman 3.

Earlier, after being put in to bat, Sri Lanka looked comfortable at 84 for one in the 11th over and later 98 for two in 13 overs, before losing their remaining eight wickets in the space of just 16 runs.

Mohammad Nawaz was the standout bowler, claiming three wickets for 17 during the middle overs. Abrar Ahmed returned two for 18, while Shaheen Shah Afridi, who struck in his second over, added two more in his final over to finish with three for 18.

For Sri Lanka, opener Kamil Mishara top-scored with a 47-ball 59, including two fours and four sixes. Kusal Mendis (14) and Pathum Nissanka (11) were the only other batters to reach double figures.

Pakistan ended the tournament with four wins from five matches, while Sri Lanka won two and Zimbabwe one. This was also Pakistan’s final T20I of 2025, a year in which they played 34 matches, winning 21.
