LAHORE: Karachi Whites and Lahore Whites, the senior sides of the two cities, qualified for the semifinals of the National T20 Cup from Group A after their match was rained off without a ball being bowled at the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium in Peshawar on Sunday.

The second match of the evening between Peshawar and Bahawalpur was also abandoned without a ball being bowled due to a wet outfield.

The outcomes meant Karachi Whites topped Group A with six points from four matches, including two wins and two no-results. Lahore Whites finished second with five points from four matches, including two wins, one defeat, and one no-result. Faisalabad ended their campaign with four points from four matches, followed by Bahawalpur with three points from four matches, and Peshawar with two points from four matches.

The semifinals will be played on Tuesday, with the line-ups to be confirmed on Monday following the Abbottabad versus Lahore Blues and Sialkot versus Multan matches. In Group B, Sialkot, Multan, Abbottabad, and Karachi Blues are currently tied on four points each.

Sialkot lead the table with a net run-rate of 1.683, followed by Multan (1.250), Abbottabad (0.118), and Karachi Blues (-0.126).
