LAHORE: Jahandad Khan produced a stellar all-round performance to help PTV rout an unbeaten OGDCL by 84 runs in the first semi-final of the President’s One-Day Tournament at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi on Monday.

Batting at No. 7, Jahandad top-scored for PTV with 63, lifting his side to 241 all-out in 50 overs. He then picked up two wickets for 30 runs as OGDCL, which had won all seven of its league matches, was bundled out for 157. In the second semi-final on Tuesday at the National Bank Stadium, SNGPL will take on KRL.

Put into bat, PTV were in a spot of bother when they slipped to 74 for four before Taimur Khan (48) and Mohammad Taha (35) added 85 runs for the fifth wicket. PTV suffered a second collapse, sliding from 159 for four to 160 for seven, before Jahandad Khan came to the rescue.

Jahandad’s 47-ball innings included six fours and four sixes. He added 43 runs for the eighth wicket with Ali Usman (15) and 37 runs for the last wicket with Faisal Akram, who remained unbeaten without scoring. For OGDCL, Mohammad Imran and Adil Amin were the most successful bowlers with three for 47 apiece, while Asif Afridi finished with two for 38.

In reply, OGDCL collapsed from a promising 43 for no loss to 157 all-out in 30.5 overs, losing all 10 wickets for just 114 runs. Opener Maaz Sadaqat was the top-scorer with 35, while Asif Afridi remained stranded on 25 not out.

Jahandad Khan followed up his 63 with two for 30, while Ali Usman (2-15), Faisal Akram (2-32), Amad Butt (2-35), and Israr Hussain (2-45) shared the remaining wickets in a dominant bowling display.
