Imad Wasim retires from international cricket
Pakistan’s star all-rounder Imad Wasim officially announced his retirement from international cricket, marking the end of an illustrious career. In a heartfelt message to his fans and supporters, Imad expressed gratitude for the opportunity to represent Pakistan.
“After much thought and reflection, I have decided to retire from international cricket. Representing Pakistan on the world stage has been the greatest honor of my life, and every moment wearing the green jersey has been unforgettable,” he said in a post on X.
“Your unwavering support, love, and passion have always been my biggest strength. From the highs to the lows, your encouragement has pushed me to give my best for our beloved country.
This isn’t the first time Imad has announced his retirement. The all-rounder initially stepped away from international cricket in November 2023. Following a stellar season in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), where he showcased his all-round brilliance, Imad made a remarkable comeback and donned the national colors again for the T20 World Cup 2024.
