ACC Women’s U19 T20 Asia Cup Begins Tomorrow

The ACC Women’s U19 T20 Asia Cup is set to take place from December 15 to 22, 2024, showcasing emerging cricket talent from across Asia. Pakistan is placed in Group A alongside India and Nepal.

Pakistan’s campaign kicks off with a clash against arch-rivals India on December 15, followed by a match against Nepal on December 16. The eight-team tournament will see the top two teams from each group advancing to the semi-finals, culminating in the final on December 22.

Team captain Zoofishan Ayaz shared her optimism, saying, “We have had good training sessions before our arrival here in Malaysia and the players are looking forward to do well in the tournament.”

Before heading to Malaysia, the Pakistan U19 team held a five-day camp at the Hanif Mohammad High-Performance Centre in Karachi. The players engaged in focused training sessions, skills and fitness drills, and practice matches under the guidance of head coach Mohsin Kamal and his support staff.

Although this squad has yet to play together for the national team, five of its players participated in the U-19 Women’s tri-series against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in January 2024.

15 December – vs India (2pm, KL time)

16 December – vs Nepal (2pm, KL time)
