LAHORE: Momina Riasat took five for 23 to bowl the Invincibles to a 16-run victory over the Challengers, while Lubna Behram claimed four for 25 and Iram Javed scored 57 to star in the Conquerors’ two-wicket win over the Stars in the National Women’s One-Day Tournament on Tuesday.

At the Iqbal Stadium, the Invincibles batted first and were all out for 188 in 45.1 overs with Natalia Parvaiz scoring a 94-ball 62 with five fours, opener Muneeba Ali hitting a 58-ball 53 with five fours and a six, and Tuba Hassan contributing 35.

For the Challengers, Quratulain was the most impressive bowler, claiming four wickets for 35 runs, while Rameem Shamim and Sana Talib picked up two wickets apiece.

In turn, the Challengers were bowled out for 172 in 37.4 overs after Momina returned figures of 10-2-23-5. She was well supported by Laiba Mansoor and Tuba Hassan, who took two wickets each.

For the Challengers, Sadaf Shams was the top scorer with 36, while Eyman Fatima scored 30 and Huraina Sajjad contributed 25.

At the HPC Ground, opener Omaima Sohail scored 94 out of the Stars’ 148 all out but still ended up on the losing side when the Conquerors romped home with two wickets and 11.4 overs to spare. Omaima’s 130-ball knock included 12 fours, and she added 51 runs for the third wicket with Syeda Aroob Shah (19).

Lubna Behram was the pick of the Conquerors’ bowlers with four for 25, while Ayesha Bilal grabbed two for 33.

In turn, the Conquerors achieved victory for the loss of eight wickets in 38.2 overs. Iram Javed top-scored with 57 (62b, 8×4, 1×6), while Sidra Nawaz (27) and Gull Feroza (25) were the other notable contributors.

For the Stars, Diana Baig took three for 24, while Anam Amin and Syeda Masooma Zahra took two wickets apiece, conceding 33 and 34 runs, respectively.
