Imad Wasim to Miss Pakistan’s T20 World Cup Opener Against USA

In a major setback for Pakistan, all-rounder Imad Wasim has been ruled out of the team’s opening match in the T20 World Cup against USA on June 6.

Captain Babar Azam confirmed his unavailability stating “Imad Wasim is suffering from a side strain, that is why he will not be able to play the first match.”

“Although Imad won’t play the first game, we hope that he will be available for the rest of the matches,” he added.

Pakistan will be facing India in their second match on June 9 and will be playing against Canada on June 11.
