13 November 2023: Pakistan Cricket Board announced the resignation of Morne Morkel, the national team’s bowling coach.

In the press release issued by PCB it stated that “ Morne Morkel has resigned as the bowling coach of the Pakistan Men’s team. The former South Africa fast bowler joined the Pakistan team on a six-month contract in June this year. Morkel’s first assignment with the men’s team was their tour to Sri Lanka for the two-match Test series.”

The South African pacer’s last assignment was the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 in India.

The PCB mentioned that a new bowling coach would be announced shortly as the team prepares for the upcoming test series in Australia in December.
