LAHORE: Sidra Amin became the first centurion of the National Women’s One-Day Tournament, while Zain un Nida became the second bowler to grab a fiver-fer as two more matches were decided in Faisalabad on Tuesday.

Sidra Amin scored 107 from 125 balls with 10 fours to help Stars post 233 for nine against the Strikers, who, in turn, were bundled out for 62 in 23.2 overs. Anam Amin, who took a five-fer on Sunday, claimed three wickets for four runs, while Anosha Nasir and Syed Aroob Shah equally shared four wickets between them, conceding zero and six runs, respectively.

Sidra put on 145 runs for the second wicket with Omaima Sohail, who scored 53 from 92 balls. Sidra then added 48 runs for the third wicket with Haynat Hafeez (34).

The only consolation for the Strikers was the performance of Zaib un Nisa, who returned figures of 7-0-25-5. Ghulam Fatima bagged two wickets for 44 runs.

In a battle between the all-rounders, Umm-e-Hani outshone Waheeda Akhtar as the Conquerors defeated the Challengers by 54 runs.

Umm-e-Hani top-scored in Conquerors’ 234 for nine with 44 from 41 balls with six fours and then grabbed two wickets for 36 runs as the Challengers were dismissed for 180 in 42.4 overs.

Waheeda Akhtar was the standout player for the Challengers when she snapped up two wickets for 48 runs and then top-scored with 34.
