Saud’s Brilliant Century Seizes Lead for Pakistan
Pakistan ended their first innings on 344 in 96.4 overs, establishing a 77-run lead over England on the second day of the third Test in Rawalpindi.
Saud Shakeel’s impressive 134 off 223 balls was the highlight of Pakistan’s innings, providing the backbone for a solid response.
Saud was instrumental in stabilizing Pakistan’s innings, forming a crucial partnership with Noman Ali. Sajid Khan added a quick 48 off 48 deliveries, smashing four sixes and two boundaries, which pushed Pakistan past England’s total.
England’s Rehan Ahmed took 4 wickets, while Atkinson bagged two important wickets.
Pakistan was bowled out for 344, with a lead of 77 runs.
After break, England began their innings with Sajid Khan breaking in and getting Ben Duckett in the 5th over for 12 runs. Quickly, Noman Ali struck in the very next over dismissing Zak Crawley at 2 and getting Ollie Pope in the 8th over.
At the end of day 2, England trailed by 53 runs as the day was suspended due to lighting concerns.
