Pakistan Secures Historic ODI Series Win Over Australia

In the third ODI, Pakistan’s fast bowlers delivered a commanding performance to seal an eight-wicket victory over Australia, clinching the series 2-1. This victory marked Pakistan’s first ODI series win against Australia in Australia in 22 years.

Australia, batting first at the Perth Stadium, was bowled out for a mere 140 runs in 31.5 overs. Sean Abbott was the top scorer for the hosts with 30 runs off 41 balls, while Matthew Short contributed 22. Pakistan’s pace attack was unplayable, with Shaheen Shah Afridi taking 3 wickets for 32 runs, Naseem Shah bagging 3, and Haris Rauf claiming 2.

Pakistan’s chase was led by the openers Saim Ayub (42 off 52 balls) and Abdullah Shafique (37 off 53 balls) who laid a solid foundation with an 84-run stand. Haris Rauf, emerged as a standout performer, bagging 10 wickets across the series, including a five-wicket haul in the second ODI. He was named both Player of the Match and Player of the Series for his efforts.
