Pakistan look to bounce back against Australia in Sydney in the 2nd T20I
After a dominant 29-run victory in the rain-shortened opening match at the Gabba, Australia heads into the second T20I at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) with a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
With just two games left, Pakistan faces a must-win scenario to keep the series alive and avoid a repeat of their struggles in Brisbane.
Pakistan’s last T20I appearance at the SCG was a memorable one against New Zealand in the 2022 T20 World Cup semi-final, where they secured a thrilling victory and made their way into the final.
Pakistan, on the other hand, will need their star players, particularly Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, to step up after a disappointing showing in the opening match. The middle order will also need to provide better support to counter Australia’s attack.
With Australia aiming to seal the series and Pakistan looking to bounce back, the stage is set for a thrilling clash in Sydney.
