Pakistan levels the series with a dominant performance
Pakistan bounced back from their first ODI loss to secure a resounding 10-wicket victory against Zimbabwe in the second ODI at the Queens Sports Club, Bulawayo, leveling the three-match series 1-1.
Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Zimbabwe’s batting lineup crumbled against Pakistan’s spinners despite a good start. Abrar’s magical spell led the attack grabbing 4 wickets on his debut. He was supported by Salman Ali Agha’s 3 wickets. Debutant Faisal Akram and Saim Ayub chipped in with a wicket each as Zimbabwe faltered after a decent start, losing their last five wickets for a mere 24 runs to be bowled out for 145 in just 32.3 overs.
Pakistan’s modest chase of 146 was led by Saim Ayub’s masterclass. Playing with flair and precision, he smashed a scintillating century off just 53 balls. Abdullah provided steady support at the other end, ensuring there were no hiccups. Pakistan raced to victory in just 18.2 overs without losing a wicket.
The series decider will be played on November 28 starting 12:30PM PKT.
