Haris Rauf Named ICC Men’s Player of the Month for November
Pakistani pacer Haris Rauf has been awarded the ICC Men’s Player of the Month for November, edging out India’s Jasprit Bumrah and South Africa’s Marco Jansen for the title. The 31-year-old delivered a string of electrifying performances across formats, solidifying his reputation as one of the world’s premier fast bowlers.
Rauf’s exceptional month saw him claim an overall tally of 18 wickets, with his most memorable spell coming during the second ODI against Australia in Adelaide. With Pakistan trailing 1-0 in the three-match series, Rauf spearheaded a remarkable fightback, registering figures of 5/29 in a fiery display. His efforts proved instrumental as Pakistan leveled the series before sealing a 2-1 victory in the decisive third ODI, where Rauf added two more wickets and was deservingly named Player of the Series.
In the subsequent T20I series against Australia, Rauf continued his brilliant form. He picked up five wickets across the three matches, including a sensational four-wicket haul in Sydney, marking his fourth such achievement in T20Is.
Rauf’s November heroics didn’t stop there. On Pakistan’s tour of Zimbabwe later in the month, the pacer took three crucial wickets in the ODI series, helping Pakistan recover from a series-opening loss to claim another 2-1 victory.
Rauf’s accolade follows Pakistan’s Noman Ali, who was named ICC Player of the Month in October for his exceptional performances. The back-to-back recognition of Pakistani players highlights the team’s strong form in recent months.
