Imad Wasim retires from international cricket

Pakistani cricketer Imad Wasim has declared his immediate retirement from international cricket.

“In recent days, I have been doing a lot of thinking about my international career and I have come to the conclusion that now is the right time for me to announce my retirement from international cricket.” he stated in his retirement announcement posted on social media.

Imad Wasim took to social media to share the news with his fans, expressing gratitude for the support throughout his career. “Thank you to the Pakistan fans for always supporting me with such passion”

The announcement came as a shock to fans and the cricketing community alike, as the 33-year-old all-rounder had been a consistent performer for the national team and was speculated to be a part of future plans for the national team.

Imad Wasim, known for his left-arm spin and aggressive batting, made his debut for Pakistan in 2015 and represented Pakistan in 55 ODIs and 66 T20is. Over the years, he played a crucial role in various formats of the game, contributing with both bat and ball.

The decision to retire at this stage of his career raises questions about the reasons behind Imad’s sudden exit.
